red shame
steep the rock face calls
daring mortals to ascend
see the people of peace defend
their country’s hallowed halls
weep the tears of pain
to see the torch flame mock
heap all sorrow upon this rock
as we behold freedom’s strain
weak our response has been
responding to this dire need
as we watch the tyrant’s greed
streak red shame of sin upon sin

In your writing you have always touched the soul of your work. The flame didn't mean as much to me until reading your most graceful words. You definitely have the heart of a poet, and the soul of one who has a heart. Love you my friend. This is esthetical.

Oh, Shepherd...this is magnificent. I so admire the women of Tibet in their quiet revolution, but I love how you speak of the entire people as "people of peace" And thank you for all of the links....Blessings to you, Rhonda
