Everyday rush rushes
Men, women ready for the day
Jitters of upcoming meeting
School bus being late
Morning brings the forgotten sun
In the smoky skies
Million thoughts running
Through tired minds
Heart given up hope on love life
Immune system stopped fighting
City life takes over
Leaving the world hanging
Onto the arms of a ticking clock
City lights flicker
Morning dew dried up
Flowers take a peak from fogged windows
Grass found abundantly scarce to walk on
Horns honk on the roads
People walk by unnoticed
But across the street
Only eyes notice
A café, connecting dots
Of one routine day to another
With flavors changed in the cup
Caffeine starts the engine
Of human machine
Running through the streets
Of unforgiving life of city

SO LOVELY!!!!
Life has indeed come to be this fast pace of which brings about so much stress and bad health. I always though even as a little boy would watch the old people who would sit every morning in the local diner, drinking coffee and reading the morning paper. They are the ones I thought who knew just how to spend a day.

Concrete
The minute concrete was invented that was the beginning of our loss.
This is an excellently penned poem. Save this one for your next book.
I saw a city fella a few years back walking up my road. I came up beside him to chit chat. He walked as if unsure how to step on the dirt road. Never having been in the woods before he told. WOW! how can that be is beyond me. Then I freaked him out with my bear stories. HAhaha....

Big Yellow Taxi.
Remember the song Big Yellow Taxi that had the line, they paid paradise to put up a parking lot. We lost ourselves when we became too complacent and unwilling to accept new challenges.

Interesting piece, the city and life in general has become busier because we feel we have to be busy every moment of our lives.
