Fools they all
would be, to listen
to the unvoiced fear
as it whispers
of the unknown-
Doubt drums its
way into your thoughts
steady smooth beat,
tap.....tap,tap
tap.....tap,tap
Daring you to listen,
give it an audience,
to have it wallow
on the dais of
your mind-
The shadows of the
fear you feel
is the reality
that you
live, should
you listen,breath
held, and know
that-
"Once in a while you'd
be better listening to the fools
for a change."
Author notes
this poem was inspired by the quote at the end of the poem from a song by Corrosion of Conformity called Shelter.

Wow! This is just...wow! Good luck in the contest, I totally hope this wins!! I love it! My favorite part is the "The shadows of the
fear you feel
is the reality
that you
live, should
you listen,breath
held, and know
that-"...
That just about blew me away! Maybe because I can relate to...what my perception of the poem is about.
I love the quote at the end as well, again very relatible for me which...may or may not be a good thing LoL.
Keep up the amazing work, good luck again,
and..see ya! ^_^
