I read this, then went back and read it again adding some music in my head. It works. Can definitely feel the dark edge of society laced in the words.
I do have a suggestion. It might be a good idea for you to add an adult tag to this because of the use of language. There are people of all ages on this site, and we really don't want any youngins getting a hold of this kind of thing.
