Lightening Firefly

Crying tears
that drip
drip
down.
Knowing I want to die
(Not even wearing a frown)
but having that person to keep me alive,
resistant.
(Not wanting to stay alive)
Not wanting the truth
thinking I am just a wasted youth -
easily replaced,
that's what I am.
One thing keeps me holding on
Oh damn!
I am so close to doing what I want
so close that it seems taunt,
You keep me alive
You are my Lightening Firefly

Author notes

I actually wrote this the summer of I think either 06' or 07' about someone else... but now I am questioning if this is a poem that I can take with me through life.

Please tell me what you think
