Romeo met sweet Juliet
He thought he had her cold, thought he had nothing to fret
They danced around and kissed, he thought he was all set
and then he found out she was a Capulet.
She asked about him, found out he was a Montague
She thought she'd never see him, thought her world would be blue.
"Oh Romeo, my sweet, Wherefore art thou", she said
"I'm right here sweet mama, don't look up, look down instead".
They talked about their feelings and their problems and things,
but then they decided she would still wear his ring.
They went off to the Friar, he was a cool, cool dude
and he joined them together without an attitude.
But little did he know his troubles had just began
for after Romeo got married he killed a Capulet man.
He didn't mean to, but he did it all the same,
now he had to leave town, what a dirty shame.
Before he left he spent the night with his lovely wife
who he might not ever see again the rest of his life.
And the sweet Juliet sat all alone in her room
and moped around and cried and walked around in a gloom.
Then mom and dad decided, "enough of that little girl,
we got a guy for you who's gonna rock your world".
Juliet says, "no mom and dad, I don't mean to be rude,
but I wouldn't for the world marry that out-of-touch dude".
Father Cap went off, he really blew his stack.
Girlfriend looked at dad amazed, she thought, "man this dude is whack"
The only one who could help her was this Friar cat
so she went back to him to get his answer down pat.
He told her what to do and she agreed to the plan
and in a couple of days she'd be back with her man.
The plan was very simple, it seemed like it would work,
nobody ever counted on the little quirks.
She did what she was told, swallowed the bitter pill,
it would only make her sleep, not even make her ill.
But Romeo got word that his sweet woman had died,
and he had to come back to town to be by her side.
He said his good-bye and did away with his life,
then Juliet woke up to all this stress and strife.
She couldn't go on without her Romeo,
so with a Hari-Kari move, she decided to go.
When they found these two together, the Friar had to confess
and clear up the confusion of this awful mess.
The parents of these two finally opened their eyes,
and that the feuding was wrong, they finally realized.
They vowed to do better, said they would end the fight
and because of this tragedy, they finally saw the light.
If I came up with a moral, this is what I would say,
Respect your fellow man, put prejudice away.
Don't fight unless you know what you are fighting for,
and give the world your best til' you can't give no more.
Whoever you are, live your life without shame,
cause like Juliet said, "What's In a Name?"

pretty witty, nice rendition of the story, haha. the rap meter made a lot more sense after i finished reading. i like how you came up with the morals at the end, it was a very nice closing.
thanks for the entry
