BabyGirl

I miss your Carmel colored fur,
your black velvet ears.
The way you cuddled with me,
when I was in tears.

I miss your little wrinkles,
and curly tail.
The way you smelt,
& when you ate my mail.

I miss at night,
eating ice cream & treats.
I miss when I wake up,
& walking through the streets.

I miss your paw prints on the porch,
all the trouble you made.
The cute little bark,
the never ending love you always gave.

I held you in my arms,
knowing you would soon die.
I'm so sorry  my dear,
I couldn't help but cry.

Every last breath you took,
I could see you were in pain.
My blood covered T-shirt,
I wanted to make it all go away.

I saw you try and fight,
Knowing mommy wasn't right.
You thought you did something bad,
No BabyGirl, I was just so raving mad.

Why did I let you go outside?
I swear BabyGirl, I tried.
How could I let you die,
under this crimson may sky.

    This is so sad!
Sorry that you lost her .. Never easy to lose something or someone you love.. I really hope for you the best.
This is a beautifully sad piece though. You write very well, and this is no exception. The emotion in this is very clear.. Wow, I am so sorry for your loss hon.. Inspiration can come from some really horrible events.. But what is written not only helps one to grieve, but this is just simply beautiful poetry..
    Well done..
