Untitled Poem ( short story )

He's a renegade of the night
dressed in all black
as quiet as a ninja
stalking its prey
riding on a lonely stretch of highway
darkness conceals his loner
traveling around in a motorcycle
Armed to the teeth with a
stainless steel black sword
and a lone black dagger
his goal is to protect those who
become abused by would be attackers
He's simply known as The Loner!

Born under the cover of darkness
this loner was carelessly
tossed away and forced to
survive on his own in the
rough and rugged streets
of East Parkland.
Fighting and crawling his way
through tunnel like passageways
our fearless loner finds himself
using his cloak and dagger to hunt
for his meal through the dark eerie
pitch black forest.

While setting a trap with some mere bait
our fearsome loner hears some faint scream like cries
curious he gets up and silently walks through the forest
in search for this distressed woman screaming.
As he nears he hears some faint curses from another person,
springing to life, our loner approaches silently
towards the scene where this woman
appears to be pinned against her will.
With stunning blue soft eyes and long flowing brunette colored hair
he gives her a little wink
and approaches her attacker from behind
unsheathing his dagger,
he slides to within a couple of feet of the attacker,
then without realizing it,
the attacker whips around in a blurr like fashion
as if being shot from a barrel
and evil eyes the loner.
Laughing evily the attacker darts for his gun,
but the loner with lightning fast speed anticipates
the attacker going for his gun and
kicks the gun away from the attacker
and slides along the bumpy ground to the victim.
The attacker realizing he is in trouble,
lunges right at the loner in anticipating of making
a bone crushing tackle but the loner sensing this
merely trips up the attacker and with the butt of his dagger
smashes the back of the attacker's skull and lets the
body fall onto the undisturbed dusty trail.
Laying unconsciously at the loner's feet,
the loner steps toward the victim and asks her
if she is alright and if she needs any help.
Brushing herself off, she looks right at the loner and before
she could ask who he was, he whipped out his cell phone
and told her to run outta the forestation and call the police.
She gives him a suspicious look and asks in a soft sweet voice
who who are you? she stutters,
Where did you come from? she asks regaining her composure.
Disreguaridng the questions, he tells her nice and firmly
Go call the police now & I will drag your attacker with me.
Doing as he says, she starts off in a quickened pace towards
where the traffic is moving along.
Meanwhile the loner grapps the collar of the attacker
and drags his unconscious body towards the sound of traffic.
Dropping him off at an easy place for her to find him,
the loner grabs the rope from his trap & bounds the attacker's hands and feet together for her own safety.
She returns to the scene and sees her savior again and smiles
saying thank you for your help mr.?
Call me Loner ma'am and always happy to oblige a beautiful lady like yourself he responds in a husky deep manly voice.
Leaving his calling card behind on the body & bidding her good bye,
the loner takes off and blends back in with the shadows.
The card as she read it merely stated: " When a woman is in danger, The Loner is there! "

Author notes

I NEED A FRIGGIN TITLE FOR THIS STORY POEM SO IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS LEAVE EM IN YOUR COMMENT

I may end up turning this into a short story mini series but we shall see what happens

Just a little basic background for this story:

Parkland is a real town and it is where I grew up. We have alot of gang activity in East Parkland but luckily I grew up on the West side of Parkland. The Loner in a way is refering to my life style as I am a loner and prefer to be in the shadows but then again the entire story is just something that I came up with from my muse.

Please enjoy and let me know what you think about it!

DISCLAIMER: IF ANY OF THIS STORY HAS REALLY HAPPENED IN REAL LIFE SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY STORY WHICH I MADE UP BEING RELATED TO SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED!

  • Superb

My friend, I think this is one of your very best writes. Are there any particular phrases in it that stand out for you? Perhaps one of those could be your title. Again, very well done.
