slow down, rewind
step into my parlor
said the lady to her friend
take a seat, take a bow
wipe the sweat off of your brow
summer sundown, summer night
lie on grass in pale moonlight
watch the stars as they appear
like the story of the year

this is definitely not a very inspiring author's note. i actually liked the beginning of this, but if you feel this way about your work, then perhaps you shouldn't have entered or wrote that in your author's notes.
