Torn with in existence
Wanting to be released
Not knowing the distance
Or how to make life cease
Cutting through her veins
Watching the blood flow
Wondering if she’s sane
But no one even knows
Popping too many pills
Trying to end her life
Looking for more thrills
For she has no more strife
Mother is dying
Doesn’t matter to me
She was forever lying,
Telling stories to me
Her life is standing still
Laying in cold desire
Her life no longer her own
Standing in the fire

For some inexplicable reason this reminds me of the insanity of the mother character in the movie 'Sybil." Great flow, plot, and word choice, very excellent writing.
Best of luck and thanks for entering! -
I REALLY like thi poem! It's nice, and it flows so nicely, with a story to tell that hits home. very emotional, very moving, and I wish you luck in my contest =]

Wow, very good. Nice rhyme and flow! Thank you for entering my contest!

Haunting imagery. Deepest subjects touched and relayed with artistic flare. Sad and all too often realistic relationship piece. The opposition of pity for the mother while at the same time ample reasons for lack of sympathy.
Excellent as usual.
