I can hear the storm outside,
the rain is falling down,
but it don't frighten me
I kind of like the sound.
I like to turn the lights out,
just listen to it pour,
open all the windows,
stand and watch it from the door.
Thunder roaring, lightening flashing,
all the friction going on.
It speaks of celebration
like an independence song.
Oh, and I can't feel the hurting,
No! I don't know the pain,
I only feel the freedom,
when I'm listening to the rain.

'I like to turn the lights out,
just listen to it pour,
open all the windows,

I really liked this verse becasue I can relate to it. I always watched the rain under the stairs and see the lighning flash with the lights turned off.
Thunder roaring, lightening flashing,
all the friction going on.
It speaks of celebration
like an independence song.'
the beginning of this verse shows the passion of the rain and the passion you have towards the rain becasue their violent and powerful words.
but you contradict their destrustive nature when you say its a celebration of independance, which is very unique and powerful. I love this image you have created.
'Oh, and I can't feel the hurting,
No! I don't know the pain,
I only feel the freedom,
when I'm listening to the rain.'
like music you have described perfectly how I feel when i listen to the rain. well written.
the endding was mind blowing. -
