Addressing Love

Here in South Africa
the new morning arrives
with the freshness of rainwashed skies
and the rainbird gurgeling
his melodious sounds of contentment

My eyes invite the Outeniqua Mountains
to grace my breakfast table
Please honour me oh Mountain
with your white ostrich feather boa
of promising clouds
veiling the early morning sun

But the Creator of that mountains
suddenly summons me
from my cosy bed of dreams

I leave this paradise
of picIturesque promises
and strech myself to the desert
of illusions and of barrenness

I call upon you, oh Love!
do not follow the mirage
of darkness:
that paradise is lost

but look up to the Throne
of Justice and of Truth
see the glitter of the Sword
which cuts away the bitter word -
that bitter word of hurt ...
that chaining word of hell
which wishes to destroy all Hope

as sure as Sun
is veiled merely by clouds
of deception,
so is His Paradise:
even within your desert
springs the Fountain
and lies the Key
that shall forever

set you free!

I appreciate the comments of all who have read this poem ... it is very special to me ... I did it impromptu, as almost all my work, so it may be unpolished, but so are we ... in transit ...

Faith, a powerful thing, so well expressed with each ink spot..dropped by your heart, and shared so openly.

    I feel an emotional attachment.
Something of great beauty and wisdom here.
Beauty and the depth of the soul in this creation. It opened
these eyes of mine, and thus I feel
    how very small I am.
A masterfully written piece of poetic greatness.

... and that is my comment to you, as well, EvolovE: do not confuse my still imperfect voice with the Pure Voice of my Master ...

Thank you, aiwaz, but this poem was written by the Sun (The Holy Spirit), who is a Star in Itself ... Sunstar
