Revelations Wonder

A mysterious world lays in wait,
haunting the universe secretly.
Covered intensely to hide
realities delusional existence.

Men, Women and children,
escape a watery death of night.
Lost in Oceans great fury,
secrets crawl amongst their minds.

Tribulations force invades,
two groups against the wind.
Conquering ill invasions,
travailing battles begin.

Mysterious happenings work,
costly prices rise in the mist.
Spooky tales cross darkness,
revealing nothing to soon.

A man of lost visualization,
walks amongst the land.
Seeking to devour a life
of anyone who can see him.

Emotional bombs explode,
corrosion reaps rewards.
Freedom comes at a cost,
making it to golden shores.

Will home finally bring comfort,
along the beautiful trees.
Or will our lives be frozen
like arctic glaciers frosted breeze.

Wow this was a really good re-cap of the emotional and mysterious baggage of Lost.

I'm also very interested in the Jacob character....is he really a person...or is he just a fabric in the minds of people of the island who want to believe he's real?

I don't know...but your poem really bring up some questions about the show.

Anyways good luck in the contest!

This is very good. I like the way you sort of re-cap and focus on the illusive and mysterious "Jacob" who works in a sort of mystical "god-like" way sending messengers, and working through miracles. What an interesting take on the prompt. I really like the last two stanzas...particularly the following lines,

" Freedom comes at a cost,
    making it to golden shores.

    Will home finally bring comfort,
    along the beautiful trees.
Or will our lives be frozen
    like arctic glaciers frosted breeze."

Well done and thanks so much for entering! Good luck!
