Truth On Display

I can understand

the brush

seen as phallic

to the cynical eye

that fails

to notice the soul

waiting within

the radiance of skin.

Let silence soft

be the guide

to pen strokes

that weave

words

to outline silhouettes

of truth

placed on display.

  • An intriguing and thought provoking interpretation of the quotation. I read it a couple of times because its power becomes more apparent with familiarity. Thank you for your entry. Peace, Liz

Deep and powerful writing I find here, love the imagery I found in the words truth placed on display just as we can bring light to what we want then leave the rest in the silhouettes, the shadows, maybe parts of lies hidden, grandstand writing I find here, you have taken this prompt to the edge, best of luck in the contest
