Look at all the daffodils
Wearing golden yellow frills
Waiting for the first sweet trills
Of warbling birdsong
Lillies flow'r and spread their hues
Yellows, pinks, egyptian blues
Who to dance with, who to choose?
From such a rainbow throng?
Daisies nod in perfect time
Bluebells ring their cheerful chimes
Gladdened by the warmest climes
The summer's brought along.
Gladiolus join the glee,
Pairing off with bumblebees.
"Change your partner! One, two three!
And dance the whole day long!"

This is so picturesque and playful - I feel in love with it from the very first stanza. And, as I continued to read I was just further captivated by its neatness and clever thoughts. You've done well, ma'am, as you always seem to do. New form or not, this is excellent. Good luck in the contest as well.
Love you and it as well,
Dad
