How long will this day be
as forever lays here, hiding away.
My dream in mind rattles
the doors, because it hides.
Way away in dark corners
in sand piles, snickering voices.
I've reached so many times
a letting go of distrust.
Whenever it's ready to leave
I'll wait here, steady my stance.
I hope for surprises in goodness
and want nothing, nothing more.

I really like this piece. It's short but it packs a punch. The rhythm is great and the choice of words is awesome. Thanks for entering it in the contest, and great job!
