How cleverly is that window hidden
Only visible from one vantage point
Sight from any other side was forbidden
With no proper place on this sphere
I followed the feline through the hole
And that's how I came to be here
This city abandoned by all but youth
is where I found Lyra Silvertongue
and here we discovered the window's truth
Long ago the enlightened men of this place
Created a knife so sharp and subtle
It cut through the very lines of space
In this other universe of Cittagazze
I lost some fingers and gained the knife
Which will fulfill the world's destiny
Author notes
I based my poem on "The Subtle Knife" by Philip Pullman in the terza rima form. I'm sorry it's more than 15 lines, and you can disqualify me if you want, but I needed more to further explain the story.
