The Quest

Divine thought came to Earth and saw
A great potential waiting there
Though mankind had a massive flaw
Divine thought came to Earth and saw
Perfection in the rough and raw
And wanted so to teach and share
Divine thought came to Earth and saw
A great potential waiting there

Divine thought split itself apart
To leave us clues that we may see
If we are diligent and smart
Divine thought split itself apart
Gave truth and longing to each heart
Enhancing curiosity
Divine thought split itself apart
To leave us clues so we may see

Men searched to locate divine thought
Throughout the world they searched the ground
They dug and sifted, stole and fought
Men searched to locate divine thought
For all the wisdom that it brought
As wisdom was so rarely found
Men searched to locate divine thought
Throughout the world they searched the ground

A brilliant crystal then was found
And polished ‘till it mesmerized
‘Twas split in facets, honed and ground
A brilliant crystal then was found
And learned men from all around
Felt lovely crystals made them wise
A brilliant crystal then was found
And polished ‘till it mesmerized

The crystal set the world afire
And four great seekers would emerge
Enlightenment fueled their desire
The crystal set the world afire
Gave builder, sailor, thinker, flier
A pressing spiritual urge
The crystal set the world afire
And four great seekers would emerge

The builder built a castle strong
To keep his brilliant crystals in
Brought many fine helpers along
The builder built a castle strong
Enlightenment would not take long
Once crystals filled the giant bin
The builder built a castle strong
To keep his brilliant crystals in

The sailor built a mighty fleet
To search for gems on distant shores
The boat is faster than the feet
The sailor built a mighty fleet
Stocked up with hard-tack, rum, dried meat
A bold adventure’s staple stores
The sailor built a mighty fleet
To search for gems on distant shores

The flier crafted many pair
Of wings on which people could fly
And search for crystals through the air
The flyer crafted many pair
To cross the sky with grace and flair
And reach where furthest crystals lie
The flier crafted many pair
Of wings on which people could fly

The thinker sat upon a stone
And pondered on enlightenment
He sat and wondered all alone
The thinker sat upon a stone
Thinking of how the crystals shone
He thought while others came and went
And pondered on enlightenment

As many years went quickly by
And massive energies were spent
The thinker thought and pondered why
As many years went quickly by
Three stores of crystals piled high

Yet, no one found enlightenment
As many years went quickly by
And massive energies were spent

A thought would come to him at last
“We share them and we all have more!”
They came by wing, by foot and mast
A thought would come to him at last
All crystals in one bin were cast
Enlightenment must be in store
A thought would come to him at last
“We share them and we all have more!”

A wondrous feast was had by all
Their lofty goal was now at hand
They danced and had a gala ball
A wondrous feast was had by all
Within the castle’s mighty wall
Dreams woven to a single strand
A wondrous feast was had by all
Their lofty goal was now at hand

So, on and on the party went
The thinker deeply pondering
Amidst the food and merriment
So, on and on the party went
All waiting for enlightenment
Which wasn’t really happening
So, on and on the party went
The thinker deeply pondering

The thinker realized by and by
Enlightenment would not come now
He left the castle with a sigh
The thinker realized by and by
That somewhere they had gone awry
And lost sight of the truth somehow
The thinker realized by and by
Enlightenment would not come now

The thinker couldn’t understand
Why no one found enlightenment
He wandered all about the land
The thinker couldn’t understand
And sat upon the desert sand
As last rays of the sun were spent
The thinker couldn’t understand
Why no one found enlightenment

The sun’s last rays revealed the prize
The desert glittered brilliantly
And opened up his inner eyes
The sun’s last rays revealed the prize
A simple thought so deep and wise
Divine thought loves infinitely
The sun’s last rays revealed the prize
The desert glittered brilliantly

The thinker finally understood
And felt pure love for everything
The universe itself was good
The thinker finally understood
As much as any human could
Each moment is its own blessing
The thinker finally understood
And felt pure love for everything

The thinker went home smiling wide
And all were thrilled by what he’d learned
For each that heard was warmed inside
The thinker went home smiling wide
A knowing smile a gentle stride
Enlightenment was now returned
The thinker went home smiling wide
And all were thrilled with what he’d learned

So, just the thinker’s heart was changed
All other's hearts were still not full
They saw, but failed to rearrange
So, just the seeker’s heart was changed
Enlightenment is not so strange
Just wholly individual
So, just the thinker’s heart was changed
All other’s hearts were still not full

Divine thought felt such happiness

For one seeker had found at last

Humanity was a success

Divine thought felt such happiness

And gave mankind a warm caress

The test had finally been passed

Divine thought felt such happiness

For one seeker had found at last

An epic in beautiful form to expand its meaning
as one reads and lines repeat. Maa captures the
essence clearly in her words of review and appreciation. A repetitive form is a perfect way
to imbue deeper messages into the conscious.
Wonderful to have you share this with us. Blue

of course, she asked you ... you have offered her such an exceptional birthday-gift in verse, it would be a sin to leave it unshared ...

I am truly amazed about this series of triolets which tell such an enlightening story of wisdom and truth ... I was spellbound from the first line to the last ... and really touched ...

and, as usual when I read one of your "essential poems", there is some synchronicity happening at the same time ... you know, when we hear, read or see the same thing again at least three times ... the message was clear : it's all about love ...

if I synthesize the three messages received, it comes down to : "allowing ourselves to be loved, in order to become less hard on ourselves - and being less hard on ourselves, in order to allow ourselves to be loved" ...

    thank you, divine messenger

This was to show that people walk on the path to enlightenment at different speeds. That they can work together. That many will never find enlightenment, and that most of all, if even one person does reach enlightenment we are all blessed. The underlying theme is that enlightenment is personal. It cannot be gained as a group. Each must claim it for themself. The other underlying theme was that enlightenment was found after the thinker stopped looking for it. It came from a seemingly random thought. The thinker did not make himself become enlightened, he allowed it. He allowed it by opening himself to the possibility. I tried to show his development throughout the poem. You reduced it to the common denominator, love. Always a good call.

    Ah.

Intensified, and going into the core and then the Core, more and more the realization: no matter what the thought, the essence of intentions sought; no matter what the numerous ways, the only Way is how Love stays; no matter of the bright of stone, perfection by the Mercy done.

    I loved this.

It mesmerized me and took me right into the core of my Core. I think it is a matter of perspective. And: yes, one soul can save the world and One Soul did.

    Love
    Always Myra
