Perfection seems to be the latest trend.
A quest that some will follow to no end.
We paint our nails we cut and dye our hair;
Fill closets up with clothes we’ll never wear.
Some spend their waking hours at the gym,
To make less perfect bodies toned and trim,
While others opt for plastic surgery -
A nip a tuck - new looks come easily.
Cosmetics line the shelves of every store.
We own them all but, yet, we’ll buy some more
And hope they’ll do all that they promise to.
But as for beauty, we don’t have a clue.
Perfection is not found in fairest face or flawless skin
But rather in true beauty radiating from within.

Flawless, Ruth! Your rhyme is perfect and this poem flows from start to finish. Great job and congrats on the HM.

Superb! Handle ably and with flawless rhyme. My only disagreement is with the word "tone." I believe it should be "toned," right? And guess what? The change won't hurt the rhyme! You are so lucky! (Assuming of course that I'm right AND that you make the change! Ha!) Great job! Yours - ocerus
