Protect the Spirit

I have a certain heartfelt question,
That has not been answered yet,
One that surrounds us all,
An equilateral, but tiny bet.

When will we be free of pain,
So harshly bitten by its song,
It tears deep into a hardy soul,
I'm told it will make you strong.

Step forward out from shadows,
Keep still in plainest sight,
Roll back all your sternest fears,
Bring your heart into the light.

Summer flowers will protect the spirit,
Yes and keep it safe and warm,
Trundling steadily onward,
Hidden from life's reluctant storm

Love yourself in the mirror,
Look deep into your own eyes,
Don't misjudge your deepest feelings,
Yourself do not disguise.

Nice rhyme and flow, good message. My favorite part is:
    Step forward out from shadows,
    Keep still in plainest sight,
Roll back all your sternest fears,
Bring your heart into the light.

    Well done, poet!

    This isn't bad ...

I think the final line is a bit weak, but all in all this isn't a bad job.

    Thanks for entering.
