The crackle of the old valve radio,
They gathered- souls upon a dashboard.
Static pressed between speakers,
Announced war; they laughed cold.
"Weather forecast for tonight; dark.”
The woven voice of silence.
Gunshots fired; echoing,
Crevesses became hearts,
A queen of hearts-
the soldiers declared as they smiled.
Just before they died.
Eyes my hollow reign,
In power there guns swung high,
Never the less played like a computer game-
on pause.
The rain thunder-
between the tears we walked forth,
Determination; the killer.
Just before they died.
The bodies float in a cake of mud,
Eternity resting between bullet holes,
A light over clouds-
christmas carols sing.

Reading this poem I felt it was jurky from the start and didn't really flow but the imaginary of the words made me want to read more.
