See the beautiful crimson butterflies.
How they mask their evil with their beauty.
They begin to color the sky as they fly high,
Coloring the sky crimson and sooty.
Taking the lives of all of those outside.
Not knowing what it is they are harming.
Their power and beauty made good collide.
The good not knowing that they are converting.
The butterflies' secret, wings of knives.
Like the butterflies, good becomes evil.
As death, the butterflies take some strong lives.
No more could good think of a plan retrieval.
All that remains is the darkness and blood.
Just after the pleasing butterfly flood.

what a fantastic take on the picture and on butterflies
keep the ink flowing -
This is a good starting idea, but there are a few lines that end up sounding incredibly contrived and awkward. Bad rhyme [like in lines 4 and 12] can ruin a poem, and I find that's what happened here.
