Scared and used.
You did this to me,
yet you don't miss me.
Fearful and beaten.
Bruised and eaten.
My heart died,
with you by its side.
Alone and careless.
Insecure and hopeless.
Left this way.
Why? You wouldn't say.
Broken and helpless.
Empty and lifeless.
It was me,
you didn't want to see.
Author notes
I wrote this poem not knowing what I was writing until I was done. It ended up being about my biological mother. She lost custody of me at 4 and recently gave up her rights to me. So I feel as if she left me.

I like everything about this poem except for one thing.
Bruised and eaten. By eaten do you mean Eaten by the pain? It just kinda thru me off when I was reading.
Otherwise I like everything about this poem.
