Holding on to heartbreak,
such a fruitless task.
Each day brings more heartache,
why keep doing it I ask.
Torturing myself everyday,
not knowing what to do.
Though you tossed our love away,
still sit here loving you.
A thousand tears maybe more,
reddened eyes that weep.
Still hear the slamming of the door,
it seems I can not sleep.
Wasted nights and wasted days,
all because of you.
The morning hush mid sun rays,
brings loneliness anew.
Spoke words of love and deceit,
sunshine replaced by rain.
Remains of love are bittersweet,
tween beauty and the pain.
