I am the Cat
From the side I peer
waiting, reflecting depth off glass planes
the sense of independence
and the air of
reluctant dependency
you whisper hushing
"Here Kitty... Kitty"
I turn away from the world you once lost in my gaze
i slink grace in relaxed tender little steps
swaying, gliding elegance in the air
Our eyes do not part
I've got you in my hold
immersed in my eyes
entranced by my song
rippling gold with vines of woodland green
I've got you in my hold
lulling you to will my bidding
playing coy and loving all that I may reach
flirting with your ankles
i cleanse you clean as i mark you mine
I beckon you to me
give me
feed me
I beckon you to me
play with me
listen to me
see me
I beckon you to me
take care of me
love me
For I am the cat
