I belong to a nation of people
With pale skin white hair and a lack of pigmentation
To be Albino is such an inner admiration
Some people stare and glare
but they just don't understand
We are just people with skin and hair
So white soft and fair
When I speak the word Albino
My creative thoughts expand
I feel so complete to belong to a people with a special condition
Mother nature wanted to make humans more unique
So we are the new edition
To be a role model for every Albino
on Gods green earth is my ultimate ambition
If they taught more about this type of thing within school
There wouldn't be ignorance towards our kind
Thoughts like this wonder always across my Albino mind

This is a beautiful poem, filled with positive thinking and inspiration. Thank you for sharing. Yes, ignorance is the worst condition in mankind. I believe that it is the cause of most of mankind's suffering.
Best wishes in the contest!

Very nice write. I am glad that you are back too. I missed you. But I do agree kids these days can be so cruel and people only see what we look like on the out side and never bother to look at us from the inside.
Keep up the good work.

I agree with theresa, being judged by appearance is awful and should be ceased!! I applaud you on feeling you are the role model!! Good for you. The world as cruel as it can be needs to be reminded that everyone is someone special and though we may be different look different or sound different etc.. we are still human and the same in our hearts!!! Hugs~Nikki

Being judged on the way you look needs to stop! It is who we are that really matters. What a emotional and sad write of societys ignorance. You are so beautiful always remember this don't let anyone ever tell you different. Keep up the amazing writing

A very touching and honest write! So many people do judge based on the way you look. I love your perspective that you feel special to be Albino, as you should. We all could use a little more of that attitude in appreciating our own beauty within too. You have a typo in the word special being spelled wrong. Just wanted to let you know so you can fix it. I appreciate when someone points out typos I have missed. This is a wonderful and refreshing poem. Nice job! Blessings, Patty
