Like the warmth of the sun
you give my soul essence,
and in its setting my being
radiates towards you, for
without this I cannot be.
Without this I cannot be
when you are not near,
as our journey together
is less at each set of sun
of which I am always aware.
Of which I am always aware -
that I am whole within you
for you chose me as I am
not for what I might be,
but because of your love for me.
But, because of your love for me
I feel fullness within
that transcends oneness,
as when you took my hand
to journey life’s path
into each set of sun.
Into each set of sun
there is peace within my spirit
in knowing that He purposed
our togetherness to fullness
through your love, and
this I know at each setting sun.
This I know at each setting sun
when to home we all come
that you will be there,
and that my un-ending love
will be returned once again
as a blessing at each turn of day.
As a blessing at each turn of day
we together in love will prepare
to pass this life hand in hand
to meet in the Presence of the Sun
where my love will be purified for you.
