A grain of wheat.

'Existence is a beautifully fascinating expression of emotions that cannot be defined by scripture or by science, but explored and shared through word of wisdom and enlightened thought as a coalescing of what is and what is not understood.'

                                                                                          Matthew E. Parry 2008

I am a single grain of wheat

in a barron field of open opportunity.

Fed by the wisdom of this earth

and reborn by the purity of a spring rain,

      depositing seeds of enlightened understanding,

      creating beginnings anew.

I have chosen not to remain a whisper in the storm.

      We are what is

      the elemental and the infinite.

      A million lit candles glowing

on a painted lake in dusk.

A voice that frees a soul.

    Well since you asked...

    I like the spiritual/naturistic aspect.

I'm uncertain about the breaks. I expect full thoughts to occur between capitalizations and periods, such as lines 3-5.

    It's a bit wordy...less is more.

I would also like to see this spaced out into stanzas.

    Thanks for entering

This is an excellent piece, a very wise grain of wheat indeed! I found this a refreshing piece I especially like "to deposit new seeds of enlightened perspectives" and if we could all be "renewed by the purity of a spring rain".....very nice.
