Let my warmth invite you
to dance from darkness that taints your whisper;
paint your skies in shades of solace
I fall in love with the shadowed secrets that dwell in your syllables
afraid to peek into hidden corners of your tinged thoughts
until you teach me to breathe; inhale more than pretty petal scent
as sorrow must seep into subtle skin;
lashes damp with yesterdays tears
your love, my umbrella to shelter my heart
when tangled emotions sweep me away like a storm.

gorgeous wordplay and soft imagery to leave all whom read with a sigh. this line "paint your skies in shades of solace" is creatively crafted and left to stand on its own amidst the rest of the poem it enables much impact and emotion to become tied to the title.
