Closed Eyes

Everytime you kiss me so sweetly,
it feels just like pure magic should.
Your arms gently wrapped around my waist,
I close my eyes for the duration.

Before the close of each and every day,
I kneel at the side of my bed to pray.
Thanking God for you and the day that's ended,
I close my eyes tightly and bow my head.

Falling into a deep sleep after closing my eyes,
I dream about the times to come.
Kisses, dancing, babies, and a wedding.
Only with closed eyes could I see these things.

Behind closed eyes are the best things seen,
and these are things that shall remain unseen.

Author notes

This isn't my best but it was from one of my favorite quotes. "The best things are left unseen. That's why we kiss, pray, and dream with our eyes closed.
