Pain is Anger

You think you have problems?

You don't even know.

You've never felt like this,
your problems are all so insignificant.

You've never gone to bed,
and thought your father would be dead in the morning
from this unknown disease that slowly eats at his nerves.

Watched someone get raped.
  Blamed yourself.

Had your best fucking friend commit suicide,
at age 13,
and your best friend at age 8
die from child abuse.

So you really want to complain?
Give up, I'll never have sympathy for you.

Pain is just another damn weakness in this strike of life.

Author notes

>> Think I'm going to get rid of this one actually.. I'm a little pissed right now, and a little more than upset.
3 shots of straight vodka don't help either.

I'm so tired of people around me complaining about how bad life is for them, when their worst worry is whether or not they pass a class.

Well I am going to rant at your author's note really quick. That's really not fair. Terrible varies at different degrees for different people. What's bad for some may not be for you but you have to learn to empathize and understand why things bother people the way they do.

Okay, well this was a wonderful poem. Very straight forward and heart breaking. I commend you for it. I really think you should leave it. Excellent work.

I can only empathize so far for some people.
I've witnessed three suicides, watched my sister get raped, all before the age of 14. Had surgery, broken 11 bones.

Brie, I can empathize with, she's pregnant.
people who have deaths, I can empathize with,
or who have a bad family life.. Things like that.

But ' my boy friend dumped me' 'my moms sick and I had to do more chooores. I hate life' 'I got a B... In West. I should go kill myself'

I have no sympathy for those people.

I see. That must be hard. In truth, I'd have no idea just how hard really. But I can imagine.

        I see.

Okay, I can't empathize with that either. That's stupid. I agree. I just meant that if someone is stressing over a test or something then perhaps it is best to try and understand why. I didn't mean the people who fake stuff like that... that just makes me sick.

Nor do I. I believe we may have been refering to two different situations perhaps?

    I can relate

I can relate to both Your poem and your note
Trust me I know exactly what you and feel
If you would like you can get rid of it
    But thats up to you
Cause I know exactly how you feel right now
But your poem is still nicely written
A lot of feeling and emotion into it

Thanks, I think the main reason I'd get rid of it(if and when I do) is I know, while it seems okay right now, when the alcohol wears off, I'm going to smack myself and go 'You don't need a fucking pity party'. If I can, I'll see if I can write something a little more poetic for you and then post that if I do get rid of this.
