Your sparkling eyes like melted gold,
And shimmering bronze hair rich enough for a king.
Cool marble skin as soft and hard as white alabaster,
Your scent of honey so sickly sweet
I fear loving you, lest I gain addiction to your perfection.
You are a shimmering, unbreakable diamond,
The graceful songbird that soothes me,
The blazing sun that warms me
And yet the one that I do not deserve.
Author notes
Yet another assignment for school. We had to use our "colorful" figures of speech.

I'm not really sure why I keep writing these love poems though.
I just know I keep liking the way they turn out. Do you like them too?
