My fingers lightly touch his face
trace along his jaw
I’m transformed to a state of grace
wrapped up in the awe
Hungry lips are fastened firm
they suckle at my breast
Each drawing tug to me affirms
how truly I’ve been blessed
Skin on skin ~heart to heart
I gaze into his trusting eyes
The nourishment he takes from me
fills our souls and calms his cries
The world fades to the two of us
as I nurse my tiny son
Our bond that flows through mama’s milk
has only just begun
As years fly past and time unrolls
though he flutters his wings and leaves the nest
I’ll treasure these moments when life was new
and thank God that I was blessed

I'm hoping for some title suggestions.

This is really beautiful....reminded me of my days of breastfeeding...
Congrats on the gold!

This is absolutely gorgeous!! Simple lines and imagery, all the better to portray your emotions and love on the subject. I can't really pick a part of this that I liked the most - it's all magical!
My only critique is the title .. did you mean it to be "Untitled"? It says "UnTILTed" right now ..
