Although ambition by itself is a good thing,
it's not to be cheaply wrought,
a lesson we have forgot,
in these times,so fraught.
Who am I?
An idea sold and bought,
I lost myself in a lie,
believing what I was taught.
Ambition is a good thing,
not to be cheaply wrought,
or loose the entire lot,
of self respect you've got.
Who am I?
An idea sold and bought,
I waived goodbye,
to watch myself die,
reborn in the immage of a lie.
Ambition by itself is a gift,
never to be cheaply wrought,
If only I had been taught,
before society's views of what's hot,
caught and brought me,
to a place where I can't see,
whatever it was,
that used to make me,me.

this is a complete and utterly unique take on the picture.I love the way that you have mixed the thoughts with the reality of life as it really adds something more to the poemand draws the reader in to consider what you have written. well done with this piece
