In this now
there is nothing.
Voiceless words have faded,
force has given way.
The water’s mirrored stillness
reflects only the burn...
That blissful anchor,
tethering my awareness,
stretching beyond this instant,
lingering
like a memory
fading
like a dream
Author notes
Prompt: Tumbling.
When all of the training comes together, and concious thought gives way, you are free to truly experience the moment.

Congrats on the bronze. I almost get a feeling that the speaker is meditating as this poem evokes such peacefulness. Just letting the thoughts flow without judgment or emotional highs and lows. Well done.

Oh, I really like the sense of free flaoting, yet being tethered by some type of silver string... what a great image comes from this poem.
