"Forgive me father for I have sinned".
Drops of remorse drip soundlessly
into the abandoned well of confession
not kept up.
Judgement rushes down storm drains
filled with an ark of forgotten tears.
Taste the ocean of regret.
Forgive me ...

It is very well written and easy to relate to on different levels.
One thing I personally can find is that I can never forgive myself or get over regret on my own, how can we expect others to do so (even on a spiritual/religious level, if such things even exist)?
Good write.

Alas, I've been adrift on that ocean for quite a while now. Being seasick and lonely is NOT a good thing. I think the last line summed up your thoughts and mine nicely. I hope you do well in the contest.
Sincerely,
Leo Long
