Perception unleashed with eyes shut tight,
In peace we dwell in the heavenly light.
Voices in glorious worship we hear,
Reach out and know that He is near.
For too long, cries the incomplete heart,
Have I striven by sight and been apart.
Shadows, all that my eyes have beheld,
Now dwell I in truth, away from the world.
Gentle are the kisses of grace,
Upon a downcast, tear streaked face.
Wonder of wonders, how can it be?
Strong arms unseen are holding me.

I'm not into Christian poetry, but this was really good, in terms of rhyme and imagery and the shortness makes it very powerful.

this poem is love, plain and simple

I don't normally enjoy Christian Poetry but this had a very nice flow and word choice. Good luck in the contest.

This has good imagery, and was definitly worth reading. It gave me a little lift.

This has a little problem with the rhyme scheme, not much but a little. There are parts I like. Shancy.

thank you for your beautiful prayer!

A beautiful heartfelt write. Prayerful. Good imagery, flow, rhyme and tone. Nice descriptives. Deep expression of emotion. Very nice rhythm. Good word choice, assonance and nice alliteration. He always listens to all our prayers as He embraces our hearts and minds. Well penned and much enjoyed.

Thank you. Faith is something that can be hard to express without resorting to cliches, which I strive to avoid.. most of the time.
