My Angel

He was my angel
That was sent down from heaven
He was my inspiration
That soothed my troubled soul
Only when my angel was nine-years-old
He was taken back up to heaven
His time was up
My angel is gone
My life destroyed

Years have past
I remember it like it was yesterday
He was my fallen angel
Sent from heaven
To teach me faith and courage
He was my fallen angel
I will love him always
My angel is gone
But life will somehow move on

Author notes

My name is Shannon Green, and a little boy who was
like my personal heaven, died when he was nine of cancer.
My poem is "My Angel" and my topic is lost love.

I was inspired to write this poem when I saw my lost friends photo.

I really do miss him, and I have written about four poems about him.

    Nice!!

Great poem...I am sorry to hear that he died, it is always a tragedy when a child that young loses their life. Now back to the poem - I like how there is some rhyme(I'm not sure if it was intentional), but it doesn't take over the poem..Thanks for entering and Good luck
