Closing Windows

Portals that inhale souls
break content
to inflict,
      affliction
as horrid nights
blend in linens
with panicked tears
dropping loosely

on memory lane.

Flickered sight

that bites the tongue
reveals nothing
but loves'

                   sin
as scarlet rains
break perfections’

              tides

once sought
under mask.

Molding sandcastles
to be destroyed
as your flesh
slowly decays

living  nothing
as you're stuck
in minds' box
    pleading sane.

As words slip
out of gowns
      revealing
bottled notes
from times of
simplicity.

Shards of glass

disperse

any footing

to survive.
