Murder in Mind

Maybe I should put my head as far through this monitor as I could possibly go.
Until I can reach the other side and begin my assault on the wall.
Yeah, after that I can leave the house and wonder on down the street;
Find the nearest speeding car and step underneath those rusted axels.
Yeah that should be a barrel of laughs, something to do until the droning returns. Then I’ll leave and make my weary way past those sentinels of doom.
Breaking the silence of an otherwise quiet morning. Damn them for making my life yet more problematic.
I saw her today, the person who I would do anything in my power to remove from existence.
I don’t mean to kill her, no. I want something much more extravagant yet impossible.
I want her to be removed from existence entirely.
So there would be no memory of her by me, or any one for that matter. Only after I have mutilated her, that is.
Yeah, I sure hate the way you push by me, like I’m that carcass in the slaughter house, that hangs frozen and lifeless from the ceiling, and the butcher just knocks it out of the way, not caring as he does.
For heavens sake shut your mouth, it’s far too cold to put up with this monotonous bleating of yours.
That means nothing to me, it makes no sense and I hope you choke on those words.
It doesn’t matter now, however. I’ve stopped listening long ago… too busy clutching the nearest sharp object.
Ready to stab her in the most painful place I can think of, I saw her again and now it’s beginning to make me writhe with anger that I can’t do a thing.
I’ll make amends one day.
