The Art Amidst The Sorrow

She strings the air in falsettos,
as fading hymns of life,
fingers playing callously
with acrylics of mid-night:

she joins;

one dot, with another.

Author notes

This is about an African girl, living in complete poverty. Despite all the difficulties, the joy of art still comes as in her imagination she draws those little join-the-dot figures with the stars

    I remember sitting and 'connecting the dots' in the stars. This was nice for the prompt. Thank you for entering and good luck. Storm
