I'm That Type of Girl

I'm the type of girl that turns up the music way loud
Just to tune out reality, and linger on a cloud

I'm the type of girl that stays up way too late
Just to talk to you, and gently commiserate

 

I'm the type of girl who will dance and dance and dance

Just to spin in circles, and smile for such a chance

 

I'm the type of girl who will bake you cookies without the chips

Just to see you smile, and let each and every morsel pass your lips

 

I'm the type of girl who when hurt, I will cry

Just because I have to, when you ignore it and don't try

 

I'm the type of girl you simply can't keep down

Just because I'm always loved whether or not it's in this town

I think this poem is kind of a mix of my junior high mindset and my current mindset all mixed up

    well.. i wasnt around when u were in junior high.. so i wouldnt know ..

    but i like the poem.. its got a lot of nice images.. a good feeling

    i love the title!!!! i'm that type of girl...
    seems we have a few things in common.. i like to dance when no one is looking.. , but i bake cookies with chips unless it's snickerdoodles... i cry if im hurt or happy.. im weird like that.

    and you do seem to be a girl that no one can keep down. i liked the honesty of this.. just saying it like it is...
