Field of (Forgotten) Dreams

Fallen,
as hope collapses
from faded ivory skies;
and held in metallic shadows~
where thoughts linger without mercy,
as I find myself captured
in just another rut
of forgotten daisies.

One time, long ago, how things felt.

    I absolutely love your take on the prompt. I found that I can relate to this poem quite well. I'm sure that many others can relate as well. Lines 3 & 4 stood out to me the most. excellent take on the prompt, and also excellent job with your poem.

    good luck

    Ah! now this is a piece written for the masses. So much on this site is written to cater to 5% of the human race. This piece caters to 95% as it is understandable and makes sense. Congratulations on a wonderful write. All my best wishes to you in the contest.
