My soul
is a jungle
of over-grown grasses
and dandelion patches
spider-webs and
birds nests...
It is easy to get lost...
in a maze of beautiful
roses
and enchanting drooping willows
stroking your arms...
as you pass...
And deep in thought,
you lose your shoes
to deep muddy bogs
thick with alligators
blood sucking bugs
and horrible noises --
Yet, when you reach the other side,
you notice
it is better to have a mind,
full with imagination;
then one
with
Four, blank walls.
is a jungle
of over-grown grasses
and dandelion patches
spider-webs and
birds nests...
It is easy to get lost...
in a maze of beautiful
roses
and enchanting drooping willows
stroking your arms...
as you pass...
And deep in thought,
you lose your shoes
to deep muddy bogs
thick with alligators
blood sucking bugs
and horrible noises --
Yet, when you reach the other side,
you notice
it is better to have a mind,
full with imagination;
then one
with
Four, blank walls.
Author notes
Prompt:
Overgrown Backyard
This is a little different than anything I usually write.
This isn't so much nature-related, and it really isn't the best look into the human soul.
I know I can do better...
Rawr! I feel kinda out of it (writers block is nasty!)...
Not my best, but..
Enjoy~

the last line is great (or the messgae of the poem)
i really liek that and definitely agree that it is sooo much better to think outside the box than to be trapped into the four walls that we are made to believe exist
i think loose is supposed to be lose though (but thats just a minor typo)
anyway good work -
