Mouse Sight

Clutched in your grip
You stare at me,
What do you want?
Feathery lashes extend
From your eyes.
Look innocent to
Larger animals,
But I see murder
In those blue orbs.
They hypnotize me
As you lean closer.
Your beak extends
Revealing your pink tongue.

Then all is black.

Ha ha, it's almost a dark one from the squirrel! I like this, I looked at the picture and think it works very well! Good luck in the contest, I really love the way this is written and the idea of taking it from the view of the mouse. Very very nice!

Ooh, this was a predatory piece indeed, very well written. Thank you for your fine entry in the contest.
