Beautiful Day

My, oh My!
What a  beautiful day
The sun is shining
The trees with their green leaves
Are blooming
The birds with their reds and blues
Are soaring through the sky, chirping away
Not alot if wind
Just a little wind
Yes
It is such a beautiful day
but
How dare it be such a beautiful day?
How dare Mother Nature
bless us with her splendid glory
When on such a beautiful day
My heart crumbles
It aches
My belly twists and turns
Butterflies flutter trying to find a way to escape
On such a beautiful day
I should be smiling
Laughter in my eyes
And yet there is something in my eyes
Tears
Sorrow
Worry
Fear
Guilt
Maybe I could have prevented this
Maybe...
And it saddens me
Angers me
Fills me with such emotions
That I am not sure I can handle
I hate this beautiful day
I hate that on such a beautiful spring day
The strongest
Most fearless woman in the world
My mother
Supposedly the coldhearted one
I think it is ironic
That on such a beautiful day
A day such as this
A day that should reflect my feelings
dark,
Cloudy,
Rainy
Skies should be filled with turmoil
That day would be perfect to suit today
But I find it ironic
That on a day such as this
The most amazing woman in the world
Her eyes full of tears
and fear
Said
"I'm afraid that once they put me to sleep
I wont wake up"
This beautiful day should rot
