She brightens up my dreary days
brings needed laughter to my heart,
when sadness permeates the air
comforting words make it depart.
Everyday I do look forward
to her intelligence and wit,
she reads my poetry each day
understanding what I submit.
How fortunate I am to know
this sweet and naughty Southern Belle,
I wish you a Happy Birthday
and many, many more as well.
