The buttons have worn down,
The paint has begun to chip away
Revealing the prime and first
I've played that same song
Played it until it wouldn't play
Anymore
I listened to it to let go
I heard it to help me let go of you
I tried to pass it
When I heard it unwanted
But everytime I heard those words
I felt as though it was punishment
Something the guitly deserved
So I listened...
But now...
I've drowned it out.
Author notes
I'm the type of girl...that turns up the music way loud, just to tune out reality...

This is good but not quite what I'm looking for.
