as it could be your last
Live for just today
don't dwell in your past
Stop and smell the roses
and breathe in deep
Life passes so quickly
each memory keep
Watch your children playing
take time to give a hug
Tell them how much you love them
thank God up above
Embrace your soul mate
hold them close to your heart
Treasure your time together
your souls will never part
Say your prayers each night
before you go to sleep
Count your blessings
on each new day you meet
Live life to its fullest
make all your dreams come true
These things can happen
it all depends on you
Author notes
The poem above represents how I keep hope alive in my life each day. Without God and hope I don't know where I would be today Picture above is of my daughter Jasmine she is only three but she is so tall for her age. Please don't copy my picture unless you have my permission.

You are such an inspiration and so brave, my dear sis. I try to have this attitude every day also. When I first wake up in the morning, and dark thoughts and emotions try to plague me, I quickly replace them with happy, positive and grateful images. After so long of doing this; it becomes a habit; kind of like reprogramming myself.
It isn't always easy ~ as you know, because we both come from a traumatized background. You are right; we shouldn't let that interfere with the good things in our life now. It's a struggle, but we must keep the hope alive. Our beautiful family's now are such a blessing. People like us; you and I ~ are special to God. The Divine touches our lives every day with love and healing. We just have to be receptive and not close ourselves off to that compassion and mercy.
I love you sis! Karen

Why you gotta do this to me?! I'm feeling good then you make me feel better. My boy is sleeping and I feel fine. If you don't give me permission to to copy Jas, I'll haunt you! Keeping it simple comes natural to you and I can't complain.
