Zoë, how thy rouges blush thee,
On your high castle’s wide dance floor,
So like a bird you dance, you soar,
Sing as dancing suitors brush thee.
How the young men gather, rush thee,
Until their girth seems near a mile,
Enthralled, bemused by all your guile,
Ah, with kisses I would hush thee!
All their hearts besmirch and slush thee,
My faultless princess pure as cream,
Sweet Zoë, we are in a dream,
In my arms now let me crush thee!
Please tell me what you think

..."Sweet Zoe, we are in a dream".... loved the castle setting and Zoe's charms.

Aww... loving and warm! This is wonderful in structure and flow. This poem is strong all the way through. Well done!

I love this poem that speaks of "thee" so beautifully and somehow reminds me of Poe, although it is not a dark and sad poem at all.
The sweet Zoe is honored by you in a wonderful way!
How did you make those dots come on top of the "e" in Zoe's name?
